Drop and Pick Up Procedures

To help ensure the safety of our students, we will follow the the following procedures for 'drop off and ‘pick up’.

Grade K-8 Drop Off

Students can safely enter the playground at 8:30 am.  Families can drop off their child at the roundabout/and or walk them to the playground that is supervised from 8:30 am.  The bell rings at 8:40 am.  If students are dropped off after 8:40 am, please have them enter the Cochrane Public School main entrance and stop at the office.

Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten Students Pick Up

Parents can wait outside by the side doors while we send your child out ONLY if you have called ahead (before 2:00 pm).  This is preferred as we are still getting to know new family faces.  We also want to avoid congestion in the foyer as other students are being dismissed at the same time.  Please always call the school to let us know that you are picking up your child.   If for some reason you need to come into the school for pick up on short notice, please notify the office and wait in the foyer while we will retrieve your child for you.

Grades 1-8 Students Pick Up

If you have called, we will let your child out through main entrance.  Families can wait by the fence.  An adult will be on duty to ensure your child meets you.
